About Us

Mini S Exotic Zoo is a state-of-the-art exotic animal propagation, husbandry, and educational facility that has enjoyed nearly twenty years of success in the industry. At any given time, our zoological facility houses, breeds, and exhibits more than 30 species of exotic wildlife from around the world, many of which are critically endangered and facing extinction. Without carefully-executed captive breeding programs such as Mini S Exotic Zoo in place, many of these unique wildlife species would continue to decline in number, eventually disappearing from the earth entirely. Our animals have been featured in The New York Times, National Geo, advertisements, and documentaries across the United States; you can now see these same rare and endangered animals up close in a personal one-on-one setting, learn about each species kept at Mini S Exotic Zoo from our knowledgeable, friendly staff, and, when available, have the opportunity to feed and handle baby exotic animals! We are a fully licensed USDA facility in excellent standing!

  • Board of Directors UAPPEAL (responsible animal ownership 501c3 organization)
  • Past VP and President Elect of SSA (Simian Society of America) 501c3 org
  • Chairman of National Primate Healthcare Committee; "The Simian" Editorial Board; Chairman Educational Committee; C0-chair of SSA Conference Planning Committee. 
  • Taught multiple courses on Primate husbandry, enrichment, nutrition, infants. Taught course on Marsupials. Written articles on animal husbandry published in Special Interest Journals
  • Invited to AAPV Conference (American Association of Primate Veterinarians)
  • 3 day Tour and Education at GCC - Gibbon Conservation Conservatory (close facility). Director is the leader in the field of Gibbon Husbandry. 
  • Attended multiple workshops and conferences such as AZA New World Primate Workshop. 
  • ZAA member and attended ZAA educational conference 4 years in a row.
